A letter to President Trump
Dear President Trump,
Congratulations on winning the presidency. You are going to be good for the country. I like your choices for the Cabinet and I believe they will serve you and the country very well. I have observed the actions of your family during the campaign and in your presidency, and I admire their poise. You have raised children with strong character, sound judgment and grace. Good job, Mr. President.
I must say you seem to be a tireless worker. The news people can hardly keep up with your pace of decisions, appointments and executive orders. I am sure they have never seen anyone quite like you.
I am 100 percent behind your distrust of the media, and cheer your defensive posture when they try to float their biased news stories.
The media lost the trust of the American people when they failed to properly question and challenge President Obama and his policies and false statements. The media became the spin doctor of the Democrats.
I want the facts, and I will decide how I feel about the issues.
I am sorry for all the demonstrators and rioters that seem to be protesting about everything. But don’t worry about them, because the vast silent majority that voted you into office are still behind you.
No, we are not on the streets demonstrating because we are too busy working at our jobs, earning a living and raising our families. You are doing the right things, even though the media and the loud voices of the few portray your actions as un-American, we can see the logic and the common sense of your actions.
“Hypocrites” is the best word I can find to describe all the protesters.
The very same orders taken by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama concerning a travel pause were wholeheartedly accepted when they took action. Now, you would think you banned travel entirely listening to your critics. It makes sense to curtail travel from threatening countries until you can properly vet people coming from them.
The media and all the protesters were silent when the Obama administration rounded up illegal felons and deported them, but when you do it, you are accused of tearing families apart. And the media fans these flames of selective outrage.
Just keep on course, no matter how bad it gets or how loud they scream.
We can see the media bias at work, we can hear the Democratic grandstanding on every emotional issue they can create. Just keep going forward and follow through on the promises you made during the campaign. You will be opposed by well-established, embedded career progressives at every turn to damage and defeat your progress.
I can only point to the resignation of Gen. Michael Flynn as your national security adviser and the leak of information from these embedded progressives getting payback for your election.
These are the very people we wanted you to drain from the Washington, D.C., swamp of overpaid, arrogant bureaucrats.
We the people are not stupid and we do have long memories about those obstructionists delaying the launch of your administration and they will pay for their actions at the polls.
Stay strong, President Trump, and may you and your family be blessed as you serve this great country. We are praying or you.
