Don’t get distracted while driving

I really get tired of hearing and reading about elderly drivers. I do, however, believe that some drivers, regardless of age, should not be on road.

Yes, I am a baby boomer in my early 60s. I have been rear-ended twice at traffic lights, both times while looking in my mirror, bracing myself for the impact. On both occasions, the drivers were talking on their cell phones.

Also, a lot of motorists think their turn signals are Halloween or Christmas light decorations that are only used twice a year.

I heard this saying many years ago: “When you drive with distractions, you’re going to wind up in traction.”
