Russia must be laughing
Vladimir Putin would really laugh if he read the recent letter from Bruce McElhaney of Eighty Four suggesting that we thank Putin “if” he rigged the 2016 presidential election.
If they were here, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan would be shaking their heads in dismay. If any of these men did the outrageous things President Trump has done, they would have been thrown out of public office and charged with treason.
As we watch this country lose its civil rights to the likes of people who still embrace slavery, white supremacy, bigotry and care nothing for protecting animals or the environment, I recall the quote of another Russian leader: “We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within.”
