Fireworks paid for by boosters

I’m writing in response to William Wolf’s Nov. 5 letter stating that the Trinity Area School District wasted taxpayer dollars on the fireworks at the last home football game, which was also Senior Recognition Night.

I would like to clarify that tax dollars were not spent on the display. Rather, it was paid for by private contributions to Trinity’s football boosters.

Coincidentally, the team played an exceptional game and was well-deserving of the extra celebration.
