No fake news in the O-R

I have been an Observer-Reporter subscriber for many years, but at my home you are now skating on very thin ice. At this point I only subscribe for the local news, and have reached the point that I don’t read some of the other articles because they are so one-sided that it is almost an embarrassment.

Reporting the news in an accurate manner does not seem to be what is taught in journalism classes anymore. I was taught to take the information and research it, and then research it again. There are so many mistakes with regard to our present conditions that are never refuted or clarified that it makes me sick.

Like it or not, Donald Trump is our president, and the office should be respected. Many people don’t like him, but some of the small, petty situations that are reported are, without a doubt, disgusting. Let us not beat a dead horse. This country needs to go forward for the good of all people. There are those who are always trying to stir things up, and that doesn’t accomplish anything. Washington, D.C., is indeed a swamp, and many of those people there can’t deal with the fact that they may be elsewhere after the next election.

I would hope that the Observer-Reporter would try to be more open-minded in the articles that come from the Associated Press and other news organizations. Please give your readers better and more honest reporting. I don’t want to line the bottom of the bird cage with the paper, but it sure is getting close. Give us the news that is real and not fake.
