Getting priorities straight
As Americans, we need to be as distressed about thousands of fans at an outdoor concert taking a knee to prevent getting shot by an assault rifle as we are about athletes quietly taking a knee during a song.
The first can be accomplished by voting out of office any politician that supports the right to buy or sell weapons whose only purpose is to kill large numbers of people by firing 500 rounds in one minute.
As far as the one about athletes, the first time someone dies from their action is when it would be time to demand their ouster from their team. In the meantime, there’s always the off button on the remote for anyone unable to stomach it.
Turning off the barrage of bullets from the Mandalay Bay maniac was, sadly , an option not available to the victims in Las Vegas.
