LETTER Reschenthaler for the win
Reschenthaler for the win
In our newly drawn 14th Congressional District, there is going to be a Republican primary between state Sen. Guy Reschenthaler and Rep. Rick Saccone. Saccone famously lost a Republican voting district despite having $10 million spent on his behalf, six Trump surrogate visits, including two from the president himself and dozens of outside helpers from D.C. going door-to-door in the district. Saccone was given every possible benefit and still couldn’t win.
If the Republicans were serious about keeping the seat, they wouldn’t double down on a candidate who recently lost; they would consider other options. I campaigned for Saccone and voted for him in the special election, but I’m switching my support to Reschenthaler because I believe he gives the Republicans the best chance of winning this seat. He is a veteran who served as a Navy Jag officer, prosecuting terrorists in Iraq. He’s also a proven vote-getter, winning back a Senate district previously held by Democrats in a 2015 special election. Reschenthaler has the resume, the energy, and the experience to win in November.
