LETTER Trump moving us in the right direction

I have truly enjoyed reading the recent letters from Tom Trettel and William Cooper criticizing President Trump for his “s—hole” comment. They started my morning off with a laugh and a chuckle.

The whole bashing Trump thing has now reached an all-time level. Let it go. The election is over. Trump was the winner, and let’s get on with getting the country back into good shape.

Can anyone argue with the fact the unemployment is at a low level, the stock market has reached record highs, business is good and people are receiving bonus checks from their employers. Is this all bad? I don’t think so.

The Democratic Party wants the American people to be dependent on the government. That is not what our forefathers wanted for this country, and it certainly has not put us in a good position for a long time. There are many who think that Trump was not the man for the job, and we are all entitled to our own opinions. That being said, he is trying, without the help from anyone in the Democratic Party, to keep the promises that he made to the American people.

I know that my life and the lives of those around me have improved since Jan. 20 of last year, and yes, I can look at myself in the mirror and I see someone who feels we are on the right track. Remember, Trump is a businessman, and not a politician. Running the country is like running a business. He was a successful businessman, and with the help of all of those around him who profess to have the best interests of the country at heart, he can keep America moving in the right direction.

How bad can that be?
