LETTER Hatred has overtaken reason

After reading the Jan. 15 letter from Tom Trettel, where he wondered how Republicans who support President Trump can look in the mirror, I can’t help but feel shame for my fellow man.

It makes me wonder what we the people have become. Hatred has overtaken reason and common sense. Facts and truth no longer matter to many people, who believe everything they are told. Proof is no longer required to back up any claims. Just make a comment and the media runs with it. This problem has been with us for a while, but has become the norm among certain outlets over the last few years.

The so-called journalists who work for these media outlets don’t deserve to have their jobs, since they are the ones who keep making up stories without any evidence. The story about Trump making comments about people from certain countries is just the latest example of their dirty work.

What is really heartbreaking is that so many people are blinded by the fact their candidate lost the 2016 presidential election that they willingly believe everything these vermin say.

Yes, I am sorry to say that reason and common sense have been completely replaced with hatred and stupidity among the supporters of what use to be a proud political party. The Democratic Party has thrown away all their morals and values in a last ditch attempt to regain power.
