LETTER Respect one another’s choices
Respect one another’s choices
So, you will buy Sarris candy because you agree or won’t buy it because you are offended. Really?
To all the children and adults assisting their children by selling candy or participating in other fundraisers, consider politely giving this note to someone who says no and then berates your efforts because of differences:
“Thank you. I respect your choice not to support our organization. But think about what you just demonstrated to this child: Unless you agree with me, I will not support you.
“This still is America. We thrive because of diversity. We need not all think, dress, dream, love identically or support like-minded views, but we should care about and encourage other individuals no matter our differences. We are better because we are not the same. Again, thanks.”
