Trump is no Roberto Clemente
As yet another monster hurricane was recently taking aim at Puerto Rico, Donald Trump declared that he was the best thing to ever happen to the U.S. commonwealth.
Hall of Fame baseball legend Roberto Clemente hailed from Puerto Rico. I saw “The Great One” play for my hometown Pittsburgh Pirates. He was more accurate throwing baseballs than Trump was throwing rolls of paper towels to hurricane victims.
Roberto Clemente died in a humanitarian mission to fly food and medicine to earthquake victims. Millions mourned his loss.
Mr. Trump, you are no Roberto Clemente. He was perhaps the best thing to happen to Puerto Rico. You are not even in the same ballpark.
