LETTER: Rebuttal misses mark

It is with sadness that I read the rebuttal (Jan. 10) to my Jan. 6 letter in support of President Trump.

What an incredible supposition about my only concerns in life being “shopping, fine dining and Disney World.”

Referencing the traffic jams, this also includes McDonald’s and the local mom-and-pop stores. Your portrayal of us as fine dining elite is certainly not very erudite.

As for Disney World: I work for the Walt Disney Co. and for years trained cast members in park operations. In the process, I received several awards, and to this day I am very proud of those we touched from all over the world. We continue to celebrate their accomplishments. All my trainees were, and continue to be, treated equally regardless of any distinction as male, female, LGBTQ, legal immigrants or anyone else.

The president was instrumental in a tax cut, and all cast members received a $1,000 bonus as a possible result, and also, an unprecedented wage increase to $15 in the near future.

Specifically, what part of this do you find offensive?

It may be time to take off the hatred glasses and begin to contribute to the well-being and applaud the prosperity and goodness of the president’s leadership.
