LETTER: Dems need to accept Mueller’s report and move on
After almost two years, the Mueller investigation has been completed. During that time, if you only watched ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN all you have heard from their reporters, Adam Schiff, and several members of the Democratic Party was that there was a mountain of evidence to prove that President Trump, his family, and campaign staff had colluded with the Russians to steal the 2016 election. You heard that Trump was a “Russian asset,” “Putin’s puppet,” and a “traitor.” You also heard that Trump was going to fire Mueller to obstruct the investigation even though he kept saying that he had no intention of doing so. They felt that Trump was already guilty of obstruction because he fired James Comey, which was laughable since every Democrat wanted his head in October 2016 and would have fired him themselves if they had the authority to do so.
What you didn’t hear was that the Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller was appointed to investigate “Russian collusion” based on a “dirty dossier” provided by Christopher Steele, which was not corroborated and was paid for by the Clinton campaign. You also probably didn’t hear that the majority of the prosecutors on Mueller’s team were registered Democrats. One was even an attorney for the Clinton Foundation. Even with all of that, Mueller found no collusion by anyone from the Trump campaign.
You would think that in a normal world everyone would be glad to hear that our president isn’t a Russian agent, but that isn’t the case. The Democrats think that since the summary of the investigation came from Attorney General William Barr, who was appointed by Trump, it is tainted, even though Rod Rosenstein signed off on it, and we all know he is no friend of the president. The Democrats are demanding to see the whole report. Barr has stated that he will release as much as he can but there are certain things that can’t be released to protect anyone involved in grand jury testimony. They haven’t even seen the whole report but already are saying they need to continue investigating. We’ve already wasted several millions of dollars of the taxpayers’ money. What are a few million more? They’ll just find a way to raise taxes.
