$3,000 for signs?

In regard to Thursday’s news story, “County buys billboards to promote health, safety during pandemic”: C’mon, commissioners, $3,000 for blinking signs because “we got a great deal on it?” Perhaps these flashing lights of literacy will bring solace to all those in our grand county, who currently have no dollars!
