Average Americans don’t need guns

I keep hearing everyone – police, the families of victims, politicians, and anyone else tired of mass shootings – say that we have to put an end to this. We need tougher background checks on guns. We need school security to carry guns. We need faster first responders.

But as long as the National Rifle Association controls the politicians, nothing will ever change. I’ve owned a gun since the 1980s and I’ve never needed to use it. Average Americans don’t need them.

It isn’t safe to send kids to school these days.
