Biden leaves problems unaddressed

Can you imagine the feeling shared by the rank and file of the United Auto Workers having President Biden join them in the picket line?

The president offering his voice in support of their cause, standing shoulder to shoulder with striking union members. That sight alone was historic.

All of this causes me to wonder about how the people of East Palestine, Ohio, are feeling about the president not being able to find the time to stop and look around and offer some words of support. Seven months after a devastating train derailment ruined their lives, the president still hasn’t shown his face to the people of East Palestine. He hasn’t picked up a bullhorn to offer his support. In his stay, the president sent Pete Buttigieg, the feckless transportation secretary, to survey the situation. Buttigieg assured the people of East Palestine it would all be made right. The people of East Palestine are still waiting.

Like the southern border issue, Biden thinks if he keeps his head buried in the sand, the problems will go away. What could Biden possibly use as an excuse for not addressing these problems? Perhaps somewhere in the president’s busy schedule, he can find some time for the rest of the Americans who are in need of some support.
