During the 2008 campaign and the two terms Barack Obama served as president, the internet was replete with proclamations by self-appointed sages, oracles, soothsayers, prophets of doom and fortune tellers that Obama was the antichrist figure who would surely lead America into the depths of perdition.

Many of these people dug into Scripture to verify their convoluted ideas. Obama was labeled a villain, a person of whom the entire nation should be intensely fearful.

Why?

The answer is painfully obvious. It was because he was the first Black person to be elected president, and every white person needed to be suspicious and fearful of his hidden agenda. But Obama served two terms then peacefully retired into private citizenry.

Now, we have a self-aggrandizing white demagogue running for president who has publicly announced that if he is elected, his plan is to dismantle our democratic republic and create a new order of government in the model of the worst fascist dictators our world has ever witnessed. Donald Trump makes no secret as to how he intends to carry out his revolution.

I ask the following questions: Where are the people predicting doom, gloom and the wreckage of our nation? Why are they not screaming from the rooftops that a person like Trump is a clear and present danger to our democracy?

Trump and his ilk must be unequivocally defeated. It is my most fervent belief that the courts will confirm that Trump is wholly unfit for any government office, especially the presidency of our democratic republic, and he will be relegated to the darkest pages of our nation’s historical record.
