It is widely accepted that the Observer-Reporter, like most mainstream media today, is a mouthpiece for liberal progressive propaganda. Because of this, it is always refreshing to occasionally, albeit infrequently, find a well-written and honest piece from a conservative perspective. This was the case on Feb. 14, when you published an excellent op-ed written by Dave Ball, former chairman of the Washington County Republican Party, titled “President Biden is guilty of dereliction of duty”.

In his op-ed, Ball discusses Biden’s failed border policies and how they represent a clear and present danger to the United States. The massive influx of illegal aliens into our country since Biden took office is unprecedented.

The increasing numbers of individuals on terrorist watch lists, gang members, and unvetted military-aged males from countries hostile towards the U.S. being allowed to gain entry into our country guarantees, with certainty, the occurrence of future terrorist attacks. Biden is guilty of dereliction of duty, but by giving aid and comfort to enemies of the U.S., it can reasonably be argued that he is also guilty of treason. The threat of terrorism is very real, and thanks to the policies of Biden and his administration, it is no longer a question of if, but when.

The press has a responsibility to inform the public while taking a critical approach to elected leaders and their policies. Ball correctly recognizes that our country is being invaded; what will it take for the mainstream media to recognize this fact?
