In Kathleen Parker’s column, “When Trump speaks, take him literally,” which appeared in the Feb. 23 edition, she argues against electing him. She wrote, “If you cherish the idea of an authoritarian president who has no regard for the rule of the law or democracy, then of course Trump is your reward.”

I’m not defending Trump’s careless words, but I want to ask Parker, “Don’t we already have an authoritarian president? Has she questioned his dictatorial actions?”

President Biden has ignored immigration laws and by fiat opened our border to an invasion of millions, many of whom are criminals, sex traffickers and drug mules and could-be terrorists. He has openly snubbed the Supreme Court and decided to forgive student loan debt.

There are many other ways he has acted as an authoritarian and turned his back on the rule of law. Would Parker write a column about Biden’s unlawful actions?
