Neighborhood Favorite: The Cocktail Chef

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Buffalo Trace bourbon
3/4 ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice
3/4 ounce demerara (raw sugar) simple syrup
3/4 ounce Cointreau orange liqueur
3 dashes Angostura orange bitters
2 ounces of your favorite wheat beer or hoppy IPA
Directions:
1. Combine bourbon, lemon, demerara, orange liqueur and bitters in cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake.
2. Strain into your favorite glass.
3. Top with cold wheat beer, or for hop heads, a nice cold IPA.
4. Garnish with a fresh twisted orange peel and a spring of mint (optional).
