We all believe in the sentiment that there’s no place like home for the holidays.

All around the world, people are decorating their homes with garland, stockings, Christmas trees, menorahs, ribbons and bows in preparation of the holiday season. It’s no different at The Residence at Logan, Bethel Park’s newest retirement community. The community is abuzz with festivities and with residents who are feeling the magic of the season by carrying on their old traditions and starting new ones. The Residence at Logan is decking the halls with holiday arts and crafts that are hand-made by their own residents.

The Residence at Logan believes that celebrating major holidays is a meaningful life experience. This season is especially meaningful for the residents and staff because this is the first holiday they will spend in their new home.

“Since opening in April 2017, we have grown into a community of vibrant and active seniors who have become so close they are now like family,” said Wendy Jack, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Our residents have fostered new friendships and have formed lifelong bonds. They are thrilled to be spending this holiday season in their new home with their new friends.”

Days are Merry and Bright at The Residence at Logan

It’s easy to see why the days are merry and bright at The Residence at Logan. The United States Census Bureau predicts that the number of Americans aged 65 or older will reach 55 million by the year 2020. Many of these seniors are choosing to move into independent retirement communities, like The Residence at Logan, where they can maintain their independence and enjoy an abundance of amenities and services that make life easier and safer. At the Residence at Logan, the monthly rent includes three meals daily served restaurant style, weekly housekeeping services, 24-hour safety monitoring and live-in managers, transportation services and planned activities and outings. As one of the original residents, Lois Vandermeer said, “It was the best move I’ve ever made. Wish I would have done it sooner.”

Jingle and Mingle Open House Event

The best part of the holidays is inviting friends and family to celebrate. The Residence at Logan is ringing in their first holiday season in their new home with a “Jingle and Mingle” Open House event on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. To help celebrate, Stoney Richards of KDKA Radio will broadcast live from the event. Other festivities include DJ Fletch playing favorite holiday tunes, plenty of refreshments, a Hot Chocolate Bar, tours of the community and a visit from Santa Claus. Kindly RSVP to 412-835-9500 or rsvp@residenceatlogan.com. For more information, visit www.residenceatlogan.com. The Residence at Logan is located at 5851 Keystone Drive, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
