Burgettstown High School received two critical falls early in the match and four forfeits in the upper weights to defeat Freedom 42-31 Tuesday night in Section 1B-AA and give Blue Devils wrestling coach Terry Havelka his 200th career victory.

Austin McDermott (106 pounds) got Burgettstown off to a good start with a first-period fall in the night’s opening bout, and Stephen Kotouch (138) stopped a streak of three consecutive Freedom wins with a fall in the second period.

Freedom led 25-18 after the 160-pound bout, but Burgettstown used the forfeits to gain the deciding points.
