The Duquesne women’s basketball team defeated California University 72-50 in the team’s only exhibition game of the season Thursday night. April Robinson and Belma Nurkic scored 15 points each while Orsi Szecsi and Wumi Agunbiade added 12 and 10 points respectively. Jose-Ann Johnson had a team-high five rebounds for the Dukes. Washington High School graduate Jocelyn Floyd had six points, and six assists for the Dukes.Cal junior transfer Ashley Hines, who previously played at Potomac State (W.Va.), posted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds against the Dukes. She made 8-of-18 attempts from the floor and added two steals while playing 26 minutes off the bench. Emma Mahady scored 10 points for Cal.
