Clairton streak now at 60
Clairton High School’s football team streamrolled Sto-Rox, 58-21, in the WPIAL Class A championship game at Heinz Field Friday to capture its 60th consecutive victory.
The Bears have won five straight WPIAL titles and will be looking for their fourth straight PIAA title.
Clairton and Braddock are the only teams in WPIAL history to win five consecutive titles.
Tailback Taylor Boyd rushed for 144 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Santeaun Sims, one of three touchdown passes in the game.
Sto-Rox quarterback Lenny Williams threw for 106 yards and rushed for 103 yards.
