PAC leader Washington & Jefferson scored six runs in the third inning and pitcher Eddie Nogay won his 16th consecutive career decision Friday in the Presidents’ 9-6 victory over Thiel at Ross Memorial Park

Ronny Peirish led W&J (12-1, 16-5) at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and four RBI.

The Presidents needed only three hits, including John Kutzfara’s two-run double, to score the six runs in the third that gave the Presidents a 6-4 advantage.

Nogay (6-0) and Jared Baird protected the lead. Baird pitched four innings of one-run ball for his first save.

The loss dropped Thiel to 7-2, 13-10. The teams meet in a doubleheader today at Thiel.

• Wash High graduate J. Jay Paskert threw a complete-game seven-hitter and Waynesburg scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat host Geneva in a PAC game.

Paskert walked only one batter and struck out five for the Yellow Jackets (3-7, 10-12).

Clay Roman broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI-double with one out in the top of the ninth. Nick Berdine followed with a two-run single and scored on Bobby Hartman’s second double of the game. Berdine led Waynesburg’s offense with three hits and three RBI.
