Ben Carlisle homered Friday to help Bentworth to a 7-5 Section 2-AA win over Chartiers-Houston.
Winning pitcher Adam Bell also doubled for the Bearcats (2-3, 3-3), who took control with a four-run fifth inning.
Losing pitcher Dylan Pounds homered and doubled for the Bucs (2-3, 4-5).
• Section 3-AAA leader Chartiers Valley defeated host Trinity, 10-2. CV improved its records to 3-0 in section and 10-1 overall. Trinity fell to 1-2, 3-4.
