Tyler Mellors had 157 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns as Mt. Pleasant opened Interstate Conference play with a 33-13 win over visiting Waynesburg.

Mellors scored on a pair of 1-yard runs and later added a 62-yard run to open the third quarter for Mt. Pleasant (1-0).

John-Glen Davis had 12 carries for 150 yards and added a 39-yard touchdown run for Waynesburg (0-1), which also got a 24-yard touchdown run by Bo Hampson.
