Clintell Gillaspie ran for two touchdowns, Javon Brown added one running and one receiving, and Monessen rolled to a 40-0 victory over California in the WPIAL Class A Black Hills Conference.

Gillaspie carried 11 times for 180 yards and touchdowns of 85 and 47 yards. He also threw a 13-yard touchdown pass and caught a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Brown finished with nine carries for 129 yards and an 88-yard score. His touchdown reception covered 51 yards, and it came from Noah Rullo.

This game marked California coach Bo Teets’ Trojans debut. Teets was a former assistant at Monessen.
