South Fayette to play at The Rock

The undefeated South Fayette High School football team will play Hickory (12-1) in the PIAA Class AA semifinals Saturday at Slippery Rock University. Kickoff is 1 p.m.

South Fayette (13-0), the WPIAL champion, defeated Karns City 57-21 in the quarterfinals Saturday.

Hickory, the District 10 champion, was a 37-27 winner over Central-Martisnburg in the quarterfinals. Hickory overcame a 13-point deficit in the third quarter by scoring 23 fourth-quarter points. Hickory has won 11 games in a row.

The winner will play either Berks Catholic (14-0) or Imhotep (13-1) for the state championship Dec. 14 (noon) at Hersheypark Stadium.
