JOHNSTOWN (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania man has died in what appears to be a hunting accident.

Authorities say 42-year-old Timothy Bruce was fatally shot on Saturday afternoon in Adams Township, Cambria County.

Police say Bruce, who lived in Ashville, had been part of a deer hunting party.

Township police chief Kirk Moss tells the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat that the death seems to be a “tragic mishap.”

Local authorities and the state Game Commission will continue to investigate.
