Washington & Jefferson College running back Dion Wiegand and Waynesburg University defensive end Brandon Fedorka will play in the D3 Senior Classic Friday night in Virginia at Salem Stadium, home of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.

The D3 Senior Classic features some of NCAA Division III’s best football players competing in a North vs. South format all-star game.

Wiegand enjoyed one of the top seasons by a W&J running back in the program’s 122-year history with 1,339 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns. His 1,953 all-purpose yards marked the fourth-best, single-season total in school history.

Fedorka, the PAC Defensive Player of the Year, set personal bests with 67 tackles, 11 ½ sacks, 21 1/2 tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries. He is a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award, which honors the top defensive players in NCAA Division II, Division III and the NAIA. Fedorka is one of 20 Division III players on the list.
