The Washington & Jefferson College women’s swimming and diving team pulled out a 136-125 victory Saturday over Wheeling Jesuit, but the Cardinals evened the meet with a 161-100 men’s win on the Presidents’ Senior Day at the Henry Memorial Natatorium

The W&J women closed the dual-meet portion of their schedule with an 8-3 record, and the Presidents’ men finished 6-4. Both teams will be idle for 10 days to prepare for the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 13-16) at Grove City.

Sophomore Jessica Sweitzer continued her standout season for the W&J women with four victories. She won the 50 (25.90), 100 (55.65) and 200 (1:59.29) freestyle events, and also led the 200 medley relay (1:57.04) to a meet-opening triumph.
