The Wild Things lost a first baseman Friday but pick up another to complete a trade with the River City Rascals.

Washington placed Chris Andreas, who was acquired Nov. 30 in a trade with River City, on the retired list. Andreas, who batted .261 with six home runs in 79 games last year for River City, has opted to start a business and end his baseball career.

To replace Andreas in the six-player trade that sent pitcher Casey Barnes and first baseman Michael Bando to River City, the Rascals have dealt first baseman Corey LeVier to Washington. LeVier played .225 in 15 games with River City after being signed last year out of the University of San Diego. He was a two-time All-West Coast Conference first team selection. He had a .365 career average in 101 games with the Toros.
