CRESTWWOD, Ill. – The Wild Things didn’t win Saturday night, but they didn’t have their five-game winning streak end, either.

Washington’s game at Windy City was suspended in the top of the fourth inning because of rain. It will resume at 4 p.m. today at Standard Bank Stadium. The Wild Things will hold a 3-1 lead with two outs and no runners on base in the top of the fourth inning when play begins. It will be followed by the regularly scheduled game, which will be a seven-inning contest.

Washington scored all of its runs in the top of the first inning, when third baseman Jovan Rosa hit a two-out, two-run double and scored on a single by first baseman Rick Devereaux.

Pitcher Michael Hepple, who was drafted by Washington last month at the Frontier League tryout, was making his first professional start. He gave up two hits and three walks in three innings, but Windy City managed only a second-inning run on an RBI-triple.
