Jets sign former Cal wide receiver

Former California University wide receiver Thomas Mayo was among three players signed Friday by the New York Jets.

Mayo was an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders last year who was released in training camp. Mayo played with the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League during the 2012 season.

The Jets also signed two other former AFL players, defensive back Eric Crocker and defensive tackle Junior Aumavae.
