W&J’s Galligan headed to NCAA track championships

Washington & Jefferson sophomore Kristen Galligan has qualified to compete in the 5,000-meter race at the NCAA Division III Indoor track championship Saturday at North Central College in Naperville, Ill.

Galligan earned the spot by posting a career-best and school-record 12:04.75 Friday at the ECAC Division III championship in New York City. Her time is the eighth best in the country.
