The Washington Wild Things have added right-handed pitcher Quintavious Drains to their roster.

Drains, from Riverdale, Ga., had a 32-15 career record for Jackson State University and had 319 strikeouts in 379 career innings. He was 11-4 with nine complete games, a 2.85 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 116 2/3 innings as a senior last year, when he was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year.

“We are looking forward to getting Quintavious into camp this year,” said Wild Things pitching coach Gary Lee. “I am very curious to see everything he brings to the table. We are really excited to have a guy on our staff who has the ability to pitch deep into games and knows how to win.”
