In a girls basketball program known for its elite scorers, Ward kept the tradition alive. Ward averaged 18.4 points per game this season to finish her career with 1,476. Athletic and quick to the hoop, Ward shot 44 percent from two-point range while also averaging 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.1 steals per game for a young Monessen team that won five of six down the stretch to reach the WPIAL Class A playoffs.
