OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Jacob Rice singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning and West Virginia beat Oklahoma State 6-5 on Saturday to stay in the chase for the Big 12 tournament title.
The third-seeded Mountaineers (33-26) trailed 5-0 before scoring five times in the sixth. Ryan Tuntland had a two-run single before Ryan McBroom and Brady Wilson hit back-to-back home runs to tie it. West Virginia would face Oklahoma for the title Sunday if TCU beats Kansas in the late game Saturday.
Randy McCurry hit a two-run home run for the second-seeded Cowboys (39-17), who were winless at the tournament despite leading all three games.
Corey Walter (5-5) threw four scoreless innings of relief for West Virginia.
Oklahoma State closer Brendan McCurry (6-3) took the loss.
