Soccer playoff sites set

The PIAA has released sites for the first round of the state soccer playoffs.
Peters Township (17-3-2), the WPIAL boys champion in Class AAA, will play Section 5 rival Canon-McMillan (17-3-2) for the fourth time this season Tuesday (8 p.m.) at Chartiers Valley High School. Canon-McMillan finished as the third-place team from the WPIAL. Peters Township is 2-0-1 in the three meetings against the Big Macs, including a 4-0 victory last week in the WPIAL semifinals.
In Class AA, the WPIAL runner-up South Fayette boys (17-3-2) will play District 5 champion Bedford at Northern Bedford High School in Loysburg.
In the girls Class AAA bracket, WPIAL runner-up Peters Township (16-5-1) will play District 6 champion State College (16-5) at Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall. The match, which will begin at 5 p.m., is a rematch of a game played Aug. 31 in South Park with Peters Township winning, 3-2.
Sites for the WPIAL football quarterfinals will be released this morning.
