W&J men’s soccer gets ECAC berth

Washington & Jefferson College received the No. 8 seed for the ECAC Division III South tournament and will travel to second-seeded Frostburg State tonight (7 p.m.) for a first-round match at Bobcat Stadium.

W&J (10-7-3), the PAC runner-up, is making its sixth appearance in the ECAC tournament.

Swarthmore (9-5-4) is the top seed for the eight-team tournament.

Frostburg State (12-6) lost in the Capital Athletic Conference tournament semifinals to Salisbury, 1-0. W&J and Frostburg State met Sept. 14 and FSU scored twice in the final 10 minutes for a 3-2 win.
