PITTSBURGH (AP) – Ovie Soko had 23 points, including his teams’ first nine, to go along with 13 rebounds and five assists as Duquesne held off Albany 70-59 Wednesday night.

In a low scoring first half, Duquesne (2-2) took a 30-16 lead in to halftime thanks in large part to 13 turnovers and 5-of-20 shooting by the Great Danes (2-2). Albany got back into the game in the second half with a 32-16 run in the first 10 minutes of the half to take a 48-46 lead. The Great Danes shot 17-of-31 in second half. The game was back-and-forth until the final 4 minutes as Duquesne went on a 12-1 run to seal the win.

Tra’Vaughn White had 15 for the Dukes and Jeremiah Jones had 10.

Peter Hooley scored 21 and Gary Johnson had 12 for Albany.
