MOON TOWNSHIP (AP) — Karvel Anderson scored all 24 of his points on 3-pointers, going 8-of-10 from behind the 3-point arc as Robert Morris defeated Texas-Arlington 88-81 Thursday night.

Anderson helped the Colonials (3-2) score the game’s first 14 points, making three 3-pointers during the opening run. Texas-Arlington (2-4) was within single digits for nearly the entire second half and cut the score to 77-75 with 2:23 to play. But Robert Morris hit 9 of 10 free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

The Colonials shot 47.5 percent from the field to break a two-game losing streak. Robert Morris shot just 23.2 percent and 37.5 percent, respectively, in consecutive road losses to Eastern Michigan and then-No. 1 Kentucky.

Lucky Jones led the Colonials with 10 rebounds and added 15 points while Reger Dowell scored 26 for Texas-Arlington.
