Riley Partyka scored in the 47th minute to give Peters Township a 1-0 victory over Chartiers Valley in Section 5-AAA. The win clinched the section title for the Indians (8-0, 12-3). Partyka scored off a corner kick by Laurel Carpenter. Megan Parker stopped five shots for the shutout. Chartiers Valley fell to 11-3, including 5-3 in the section.
• Francesca Scenna scored two goals during Canon-McMillan’s 11-0 victory over Brashear in a Section 5-AAA match.
Samantha Ryan, Megan Campbell, Abby Severyn, Natalie Fortna, Sydney Keremes, Allison Oddi, Allison Thomas, Sabrina Bryan and Aideen O’Donoghue each had a goal for the Big Macs (6-2-1, 8-3-2). Thomas also had six assists. Kyra Murphy recorded the shutout.
Brashear fell to 12-9, including 1-7 in the section.
• Erin James played a role in all of Chartiers-Houston’s goals as the Bucs blanked Beth-Center 5-0 in a Section 2-A match.
James scored three goals and assisted on the two tallies by teammate Jesse Serra as C-H edged closer to the .500 mark at 4-6 in the section and 7-8 overall.
Bucs goalkeeper Addy Knetzer had to make nine saves to record the shutout.
• Belle Vernon used a first-half goal by Hayden Pascoe to defeat host McGuffey in Section 4-AA.
Goalkeeper Katie Demi kept the Highlanders (2-6-1, 3-6-1) within striking distance by making eight saves.
Belle Vernon is 8-1 in section and 10-2 overall.
• Bailey Swart scored twice to drive Trinity to a 5-0 win over Albert Gallatin in a Section 4-AAA match.
Libby Jungo, Kylie Shawn and SaJordan Miller each added one goal for the Hillers (5-3, 6-5). Beth McClelland recorded her fourth shutout of the season.
