Bethany holds on to upset W&J, 24-19

BETHANY – The Bethany Bisons avoided a second-half collapse on Saturday night and defeated rival Washington & Jefferson for the first time in decades, 24-19, at home.

The Bisons (2-1, 2-3) scored 24 points in the first half; led by junior running back Phil Acrie’s two rushing touchdowns. The Presidents (2-1, 3-2) rallied in the second half with 19 uanswered points, but the Bisons made a defensive stand as they took their first PAC win of the season.
