Canon-McMillan shut out by Woodland Hills

Miles Sanders ran for 111 yards and a touchdown as Woodland Hills ((5-1, 5-2) shut out Canon-McMillan 34-0 Friday night in a Class AAAA Southestern Conference game.

Sanders scored on a 25-yard run in the first quarter.

Quarterback Jeremiah Jones completed nine of 13 passes for 159 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown pass to Chris Davis in the first quarter.

Woodland Hills’ Art Tompkins rushed two times for 110 yards. He ripped off an 89-yard run before he was tackled at Canon-McMillan’s 3-yard line, and scored on a 21-yard touchdown run.

Canon-McMillan’s Jake Spencer had an interception.
