Christian Forsythe’s 95-yard fumble return for a touchdown with 3:35 remaining in the fourth quarter as Trinity was headed for a go-ahead touchdown helped Uniontown to a 29-24 Big Nine Conference win Friday night at Hiller Field.

Trinity (1-5, 1-6) took a 17-7 first-half lead on a Sam Trapuzzano field goal, a touchdown pass from Forrest Cullings to Anthonie Sivie and an 8-yard Mitchell Kendra run.

But Uniontown pulled ahead midway in the fourth quarter when Doug Lewis, who had 166 yards rushing on 14 carries, scored on a 35-yard run to make it 21-17.

The Hillers were in position to score when Forsythe picked up a mishandled handoff and ran 95 yards for a score.

Trinity got a 2-yard TD run from Robert West, who had 96 yards on 12 carries, to cut the score to 29-24, but that score came with 14 seconds remaining.

Cullings completed 4 of 10 passes for 126 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while Xavier Ellis was 8 of 13 for 197 yard and a pair of touchdowns fo Uniontown (2-4, 2-5).
