Hein’s big game sparks Mapletown

MAPLETOWN – Running back Adam Hein scored three touchdowns and accounted for 183 total yards as Mapletown defeated visiting West Greene 38-12 in a Tri-County South Conference game.

Hein scored on runs of 1 and 47 yards and added a 38-yard touchdown reception for the Maples, (3-3, 4-3), who remained in the playoff hunt. Hein finished the night with five catches for 96 yards and rushed for 87 yards on 12 carries, and added nine tackles on defense.

Mapletown quarterback Ben Boone threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter, a six-yard toss to Tyler Beal and the 38-yard strike to Hein.

Quarterback Dalton Wildman rushed for 176 yards on 27 carries, including a 61-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for the Pioneers (1-5, 1-6).
