Clintell Gillaspie rushed for two touchdowns and caught a scoring pass Friday night as Monessen (6-1, 7-1) defeated host Mountain Ridge, Md., 52-12, in a nonconference game.
Gillaspie, who has scored 22 touchdowns this season, scored on a 61-yard run in the third quarter and a 10-yard run in the fourth. He also caught a 49-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Noah Rullo in the second. Gillaspie rushed for 161 yards and had 49 receiving yards.
Rullo completed 7 of 8 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns. He threw touchdown passes of 24 yards to Justice Rawlins and Demond Jordan in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Javon Brown scored on a 17-yard lateral from Irvin Green, who had caught a 10-yard pass from Rullo.
