McGuffey rolled to a 6-2 victory over Trinity in a non-section match Saturday behind a five-goal performance by Tyler Harris. Wes Duda added a goal for the Highlanders (13-4) and Alec DelCastro tallied the two scores by Trinity (6-10).

• Peters Township (8-2-1, 12-3-1) ended South Park’s perfect season with a 3-1 victory behind a hat trick by Mario Mastrangelo.

Mastrangelo scored his first goal one minute into the game when he capitalized on a penalty kick. The junior forward added two more goals before halftime, while Nick Shaw scored the lone goal for South Park (12-0, 16-1).

Charleroi battled Ringgold for 90 minutes-combining for 38 shots – but neither gained ground on the other in a 1-1 draw.

With 20 minutes remaining in the second-half, the Rams tied the game with a goal from Jill Bartman. While Ringgold (4-9-1) continued its strong offense into the overtime periods, Charleroi goalkeeper Sydney Poth stifled their attempt to finish the comeback in the non-section match. Kyra Watkins scored the Cougars’ lone goal midway through the first half.

Charleroi is 11-2-2 overall.
